SOE is asking for input on the Planetside franchise. If you do not take this survey and your deep desire for Hello Kitty stickers does not make it into the next iteration of the game, you have only yourself to blame. =P

A couple more updates to the story arrived over the weekend, which confirmed that the www.planetside2.com domain has been officially registered by SOE, while another saw SOE head John Smedley comment that "Planetside fans will be happy we have big things planned in the next 12 months.

To me, Planetside Next means we get a chance to take the essence of everything that was fun in Planetside and make it a lot better. Massive battles on a scale no other FPS will touch. Die guten Nachrichten überschlagen sich.

In other news - early next year we will have announcements about Planetside Next followed by a beta. I can say this - it's coming along awesome. I can also say that the first beta testers are going to be current Planetside subscribers. I've gotten a lot of email from current players offering to help test the game and we're going to take them up on it.
