Hello,

I'm not new to WWIIOL, ran with the Razorbacks (Allies) after picking the game up in September 2001. I realized how fruity the Allies were so I switched sides and hooked up with the 31st Wrecking Crew. I had a stint in the GHC, doing some KG XO and CO positions until the regime at the time thought too many 31st were in the GHC and kicked out a lot of higher 31st guys. Most of us stopped playing at this point to try out Armed Assault and that's where most of us have stayed while some have joined other squads in WWIIOL...

My Deutsch Telecom internet sucks balls so my Arma days are confined to single player campaigns. I rejoined WWIIOL last week and it looks like I came back at a good time, with the upcoming release of 1.31.

I am in the US Air Force, and I live at the old Bitburg Air Base housing area, which is a lot nicer than living at Spangdahlem Air Base because it always smells like horseshit over there. I work on heavies (cargo planes) as a hydraulics specialist. I've been stationed near Canada, in Japan, near Washington DC and now in Germany.

I don't speak any German, and that's a damn shame since a lot of my family is from Sweden and Germany.

S! and see you on the killing fields!

Welcome back Satmax.
Well, your Forums account here is older than the majority of our current active players therefore I am happy to have you back :D

Many big squads from the good ol days are gone like 31st, Totenkopf, Sturmgrenadier or Nordland but imo it was the lack of leadership.
As the "old" Squadleaders were gone no one took the plunge and cared about the squadlead.
To make it simple: Many big squads had no successors. As spoon left SG died, as Moggel left Nordland died, as Shilling left Totenkopf died and the 31st went down after Plastic and ZZ left the game.

Yeah, I found my old posts. They're so old, I don't even remember posting them! lol

31st did suffer some leadership problems. The GHC 31st cleansing didn't help and then when DVDOC took over.... well, you'll understand why real quick when you play with him (control freak).

I didn't like getting yelled at like I was back in boot camp during a video game so I left and the few others that were still there left for much the same reason.

I did have some badass moments with those guys though, and I'll always remember those.

S! and welcome.

I hope you get accustomed pretty soon. We're a funny bunch of people even though sometimes weird.
As you're an Armed Assault player you might be interested to know that we sometimes play Arma2 coop missions within the german ww2 community and on occasion against other german squads, namely the 130 PLD.
You would be a very welcomed addition to our team, especially as you seem to have quite a lot of experience.

Thanks for the re-welcome, everyone! Arma and Arma 2 were my favorites when I left WWIIOL. I'd love to play again. So, shoot me an e-mail when you guys meet up and I'll hurry to get my new headsets!
