SECURITY LEVEL: Confidential - Suitable for Secure Squad Forums

From: Generaloberst Csm308, Heer XO

To:

Armee: 6 & 12.Armee and their subordinate units

Operation Name: RETRIBUTION!

Operation Type: Attack,

Operation Target: Campaign #53 Initial Moves

Start Date: Jun/22/2009

Start Time: 18:00 Western Europe (GMT)

Operation Text Channel: TBD

Operation Objective:

1) The main objective of the first few days of Campaign 53 is to occupy the line Sedan, south to

Verdun. This will be done by creating a gap in the Sedan, Carignan, and Mouzon area. This will

either result in the pocketing of Allied forces east of that line or force the Allies to withdraw to

the west. Town sequencing should be, in order, Longwy, Carignan, then Montmedy for the first

three AO’s available. Simultaneously a fourth AO (if available) should go on Namur and a drive

started on Metz with any leftover AO’s. We want to push the center and south and strengthen

our lines. Attack whole divisions where the allies are weak.

2) Be prepared to shift units if the Allies place two divisions in the Antwerp area and attack out

of that city. If this happens, keep the 17th ID IN FRONT of the enemy until help can arrive. If

you have to give up territory to do so, then give it up. Do not allow the 17th ID to be pinned

against either Willemstad/Moerdijk or the Albert Kanal.

Main Force

Comprised of: Armee Abteilung Sud

OIC: Generaloberst Thorg

Text Channel: 10, Ops

Primary Objective: Attack the area from Sedan to Montmedy and force a gap in the enemy line,

the drive south to Buzancy through to Clermont en Argonne.

Secondary Objective: Drive south to Metz, than advance west to Etain and Verdun. Close up

the southern Meuse River line. If needed request a KM unit from the KM OIC for an attack on

Sierck Les Bains should the opportunity arise to do so.

Support Force A

Comprised of: Armee Abteilung Nord

OIC: Generaloberst Colt1945

Text Channel: 10, Ops

Primary Objective: Defend the North and Center down to the North Meuse River valley.

Secondary Objective: Cooperate with Armeekorps Detachment Dinant in the capture of Namur.

Support the KM as needed should the Allies head north to attack Willemstad or Breda. Mirror

their moves.

Support Force B

Comprised of: Armeekorps Detachment Dinant

OIC: Generalleutnant Tmanusa

Text Channel: TBD

Primary Objective: Attack and capture the town of Namur.

Secondary Objective: Defend the area south of Namur to Gedinne.

Command, Control, and Communications: 12.Armee and its subordinate units will have C2

of the 1st PD, 27th ID, and 17th ID. 6.Armee and its subordinate units will have C2 of 2nd PD, 3rd

PD, 4th PD, 16th ID, and 33rd ID. Primary communications for actual operations will be the Ops

channel, supported by 10. Primary voice communications will be the Heer Meeting Room TS

channel. ALL Heer officers will also tune Channel 33, which has been designated the Squad

Cooperation Channel. If you have to discard a text channel to accommodate 33, discard Side

Channel. The Squaddies and Squad leadership of 1775th RDF, 3rd Panzergruppe, Windhund, The

Iron Wolves, and the 505th Heavy Tank Battalion will be monitoring Channel 33 and attempting

to operate as a synchronized unit. We’re still in the baby steps stage of this effort so some fits

and starts can be expected.

Fellow Officers of the Heer, S!;

I wanted to inform you of an ongoing effort to better coordinate and synchronize US Primetime ground operations.

This effort was started over a week ago to get representatives from the "Big Five" Axis squads that operate in US Primetime; 1775th RDF, 3rd Panzergruppe, Windhund, Iron Wolves, and 505th Heavy Tank Battalion, to cooperate more closely during US Primetime.

Mouser98's original KG-33 concept was our first attempt at this, back in August 2008. KG-33 was a success in that the squads willingly worked together and we either held our ground during US Primetime or routed the Allies during an attack. The problems with KG-33 was that it was an HC-led organization, supported by the squads, and operated on an infrequent basis, perhaps once a week. Mouser and I tried to get the squads to operate together on a more frequent basis but were unsuccessful.

Again, the squads never had a problem working together, it just didn't happen often enough.

We chose the Big Five, not to be exclusionary of others, but simply because those five squads were the most supportive of KG-33 and showed up every time we had a KG-33 operation. Mouser98 and I felt they would be the most receptive to a new way of thinking.

We've had a spirited and productive e-mail conversation for the past week discussing this effort and it resulted in a meeting held last night Friday, at 2000 EDT. A lot was discussed and agreed upon. We didn't wrap up until two hours later.

The only thing that I will go into detail about right now, about what was agreed upon, is in game text comms between and among the squads and the HC.

It was decided that for now, channel 33 is the Squad Cooperation Channel. The five squads agreed to have all of their squad members and leadership tune channel 33 in game. This will happen immediately and be done every night of the week. Side channel will be discarded for those who have to free up a channel for 33.

Channel 33 will be used for both general squad comms, "Iron Wolves are taking down such and such an FB," and tactical comms for a single target being attacked or defended by the squads.

As of now, all Heer officers will tune Channel 33 as part of their suite of channels for in game text chat. I say all Heer officers, to include our ANZACs and EURO's, because the five squads also operate during your timezones on the weekends, and weekdays for squad's like 3rd Panzergruppe (Dinker and crew).

Be responsive to, and work with, the five squads on channel 33. Don't be directive, e.g. tell squads to "go here" or "do this." That is not what Channel 33 is for. Your job is to faciliate how the squads work together and provide them the support they need.

Right now this cooperative effort only includes the "five families" we call them. It is expected to grow to more squads in the future. It is not meant to be exclusionary, but will be limited for now until we get the training wheels off.

More information will be put out about this as things become more solidified. For now, start tuneing Channel 33.

hmm Tienengegend heisst anfangs verbitterter Abwehrschlachten führen und dann meist Stillstand, naja was solls 8)
