hab ich eben von Dolittle geschickt bekommen...

My strat bombing math 101 in a nutshell:

Hypothetical: You have 3 111s heading to town A, 3 heading to town B. Both
towns are at 100% output before being hit simultaneously. The 3 in town A
each hit a different factory, and the 3 in town B each hit the same factory.
Town A goes to 42% dmg, 58% output. Town B goes to 33% dmg, 67% output. At
first glance it appears the flight to town A did a better job, right? Wrong.

Since each factory repairs at a constant rate, town A (with 3 factories
repairing, each at the same constant rate as the one in town B) will repair
3 times faster than town B.

As town A repairs to 39% (61% output) , town B repairs to 32% (68% output).
As town A repairs to 36% (64% output), town B repairs to 31% (69% output).
As town A repairs to 33% (67% output), town B repairs to 30% (70% output).
As town A repairs to 30% (70% output), town B repairs to 29% (71% output).
As town A repairs to 27% (73% output), town B repairs to 28% (72% output).
As town A repairs to 24% (76% output), town B repairs to 27% (73% output).
As town A repairs to 21% (79% output), town B repairs to 26% (74% output).
As town A repairs to 18% (82% output), town B repairs to 25% (75% output).
As town A repairs to 15% (85% output), town B repairs to 24% (76% output).
As town A repairs to 12% (88% output), town B repairs to 23% (77% output).
As town A repairs to 9% (91% output), town B repairs to 22% (78% output).
As town A repairs to 6% (94% output), town B repairs to 21% (79% output).
As town A repairs to 3% (97% output), town B repairs to 20% (80% output).
As town A repairs to 0% (100% output), town B repairs to 19% (81% output).

You can see that it didn't take very long at all for town A to be
outproducing town B again, and when town A is back at 100% output for town B
is still only at 81% output overall.

The bombing attack on town B was a much more efficient and smarter use of
manpower.
