mm nach dem Update war ich Leutnant und bin nu nach 2 Tage mit nur ein paar Kills gelich Oberleutnant geworden, war ja aber vorher glaub ich Oberst haben die dat wat gedreht das man schneller wieder seinen alten Rang erreicht jeman ne Ahnung?? hab mich nur gewundert was das Field Promotion zu bedeuten hatte und da hab ichs gemerkt.

Ist mir auch passiert. hatte noch 76% bis zum nächsten rank und nach einem ctd war ich oberleutnant :)

Freut euch nit zu früh.......

This is a slight FUBAR in terms of apparent continuity of rank promotion progress for the very first sorties at the start of this first campaign under the new system.

As most of you are aware, we changed the rank structure in preparation for the much better way it will be working from now on. Part of that is many more different rank levels to progress through than we had previously.

So, when we reset this for the new campaign, here's what happened.

Say you need 10,000 points for your next rank, as it now is under the new system.

Now, say you already HAD 25,000 points under the old system, that had far fewer ranks to progress through, thus higher requirements to make the next rank.

What happens when you complete a successful sortie now is, you can make the next rank (you only needed 10,000 points in our example above, remember ?) ... but the system still thinks you have 250% of the points required because you had 25,000 points in your database when we ported the system over.

You still only get to go up one rank, but for that one rank it will report according to your previous point score, and after you are promoted, it will start you off according to the new point structure.

It was either that one time misreport or wipe your rank level you carried with you into the new system from the old.

We choose not to wipe your current progress instead. It's a minor abberation, and not permanent.

aha, das heisst, ich hatte 18000 Punkte?

denn ich war in 1.18 Oberst...nach neuen system war ich Leutnant und hatte180% zum nächsten Rang...dann field promotion und jetzt bin ich Oberleutnant mit 0%......nachfolgende 6 Missionen mit RTB hat daran auch nix geändert, nicht mal ein Prozentpunkt mehr...

aha also nur die alten Payback Punkte eingelöst verdammt ich dachte ich kann in einer Woche General werden. :-)
