Below you will see the full edict of the new CINC, Herr Stafnbrg, regarding Field Command. You will also note the threat to relieve you of command if you do not carry out this edict.
The bottom line is this; No Korps level officer or above may ever OIC an attack or defense. Ever. Nor may Korps level officers or higher put out a .axis with themselves as the OIC. Ever.
Division level officers may ONLY OIC an attack or defense, or place themselves in a .axis IF they are assisting an RO within their division. If they have a KG CO/XO/XXO available to lead the attack/defense, they will place that person in command.
If there are no KG officers available to lead an attack or defense, you may still not assume field command. You must find an available squad officer within your KGs or anyone else who wishes to exercise field command.
Even if after all of this, you have not found anyone to OIC an attack or defense, Korps level officers and above may still not OIC because it is, "NOT acceptable for a Korps Level or above Officer to EVER take Field Command of a unit." If a town must go unattacked or undefended because you cannot find an OIC, so be it.
I hope this makes perfectly clear what the new CINC wants. If you find you cannot obey this edict, you may resign. If you fail to carry out or enforce this edict ,you can also be relieved of command, according to Article 20 of the AOC.
