Intermission test and Patch v117

V117 is in final QA testing and should be ready to go live in the next couple of days. We have a little bit more planning to do for this release as we have some host hardware and software changes going in. We need an extra day to get those ready and hopefully we’ll be ready top do that at 10am tomorrow or Thursday. We’ll keep you posted on the schedule. That is going to cause some extra downtime for our patch process so we want to start it early in the morning.

That extra time gives us a unique opportunity. Instead of letting the map stagnate we’re going to run a test of our intermission program. The SET team is working up some options for us and we should have those ready to go in the future but we don’t have anything ready today so we are going to run one of the popular scenario type events, a Channel Battle.

This Intermission will be slightly different however. We’ll be giving the Allies the Zeeland Islands and England to operate from with the Axis having the rest of the map. We’re also going to dramatically increase the number of air and sea units available to give players who might not ordinarily participate in those branches and opportunity to do so as well as allow those branch players an unprecedented selection of vehicles with which to form large scale operations. Stats will not accrue during the Intermission.

The Intermission is set to kick off today at 12 noon central and will continue until v117 goes live. Later today I’ll be posting the pre-release read me for the next feature set going live to WWIIOL. We hope you enjoy the Intermission.
