News from the Axis community

(August 21th - 12th Armee)
Brussels under Axis rule
(OKH) Leutnant Acst (http://csr.wwiionline.com/scripts/services/persona/service.jsp) was seen flying a Junker 52 with other elements of the victorius 2. Luftflotte , in order to get fallschirmsjagers to the city of Brussels and then took the battle to the ground. He was pleased to report after the fight: " Waffles are now served in Brussels (http://services.wwiionline.org/cgi-bin/chokepoint.pcp?chokepoint=Brussels)!"
Befehlshaber Xl2dylar (http://csr.wwiionline.com/scripts/services/persona/service.jsp?pid=48717) was impressed by both sides: " It must have been tough on the Allied Commander that called the Fallback. We had all but given up until we saw the .fall come up then it was "everyone back in hurry the allies fell back in Brussels. Believe me when I say it was a huge releif to see. Even then it was not over. The allies gave one heck of a fight and I'm certain that commander fought tooth and nail to keep his honor intact."

After a quick lunch at the castle of Brussels, they return to their duties within 12th Armee and Luftflotte 2 as the enemy is trying to lay a siege on the city.
Operation Blue Steel is hereby a comple success!

(August 20th - Oberkommando der Aschenmächte)
Operation Retribution: Phase Seven
(OKA) Generalfeldmarshall ZZ: " The 31st day of Campaign 22 has had some major changes to the map (http://31stwreckingcrew.com/zz/maps/camp22/camp22d31map.jpg) in as little 5 days over 40 Axis Towns and Cities have been liberated, and many new towns have been added to supply new Headquarters for the Kampgruppes. The officers would also like to extend a hearty thanks for all the caches of wine and sprits that we have found in numerous cellars and hidden rooms. For those of you that were keeping track, we did sort of skip a few numbers there, with such lightning results from the last week, it has been hard to relay in real time to those in other areas outside of the Chain of Command. And with the successful capture of Antwerpen, we can choose a few new targets for this coming weekend. I do believe that the Armee Commanders have something special lined up for this weekend's Apocalypse. And while I would love to expand on it in this thread, it really wouldn't be proper. Afterall, all the up to date current information can be found in game, on one of the many auto tuned channels, and on the OKA Designated Text Channels. (August 20th - Baracks)
Liaisons for the official BE forum elected
(CRS) Community manager Badger announced the elected Liaisons: " Barracks Liaison-schulz, Hangar Liaison-wingmann, Harbour Liaison-icetwp, Motor Pool Liaison-scotsman"
Badger explains what the Liaison program is: It is to monitor the forums through a one week time period, collect questions from the threads posted during that week and send them to CRS to replace the production notes questions. They will also gather links that they feel CRS should view posted during that week and send the links and questions into CRS in their weekly report submitted on Sunday evening. This report will be included in the Community Management’s internal report and sent to the proper departments where experts in their forum topic will answer the questions and send it back to the Community Management Team. They will then give the answers to the questions back to the liaisons to be published in the forum they represent in a sticky. This will allow the questions and answers to be found easily in their forum.

(August 19th - 16th Infanterie Division)
Chitdead doesn´t know of Fear
(CRS) Oberleutnant Jordan85 reported that Hauptmann Chitdead answered when Schutze Breihof made the call: " Southeast hill, three Shermans, three Stuarts, one Matty and one 57 mm Anti-Tank gun!" Chitdead sneaked up the hill outside Hamoir and charged five enemy tanks, making the hill look like a barbeque and secured the deployement of friendely panzers to meet the aggressors! The news arrived at PR Korps in Köln 9 days later, but is still worth mentioning. Check out the Sortie here. (August 19th - 12th Armee)
12th Armee enjoys breakfeast in new Headquarters
(OKH) At 0200 EST the Breakfast Club (BC) decided that enough is enough. Antwerp was under british rule and the naval base and Airfield was a thorn in the eye on the advancing Wehrmacht. After securing the key points in the city under the nose of rats (http://discussions.playnet.com/showthread.php?t=45687) and loosing the Airfield a couple of times, the battle had been going on for seven hours.
The bitter fight to the death, with no side wanting to take down their banners, 12th Armee supported by Luftflotte 2 and Kriegsmarine liberated Antwerp from the foes. 12th Armee Fallschirmsjager was strenghtened during the opening hours of the battle, and lead by Generalmajor SirBenny the one hundred man strong task force, among other things, took and held the north spawnable giving the panzers time to arrive and secure that part of the town. The enemy held towns of Boom, St.Niklas and Temse are now stressed from the advancing panzerdivisionen supported by Stuka bombers. British destroyers are redeployed back the line and now the war for the Zeelands are in favour of the Wehrmacht.

(August 19th - XVIII Armeekorp)
Generalleutnant Hondo17 retires
(OKH) From Generalleutnant Hondo17, Stabschef des XVIII. Armekorp retirement speech: " It is time for me to hang my OKW Commanders hat on the hook and walk that long lonely road back to the trenches. I have to tell you that my time here in the OKW has been an experience that I will never forget. Some of the people that I consider my closest friends are because of my time here. I take with me the memory of the day I was able to coordinate and lead the12 hour attack that led to the capture Of Antwerp, Boom, St Nick and Temse. At one point there was a smoking 3F sitting on one of the overpasses it was down to its mg but he held the high ground and we won the day. Things like that get etched in your mind. Great memories... I want to thank all of you for allowing me the opportunity to serve the Axis side it has been both an Honor and a pleasure. Salute!"

(August 19th - CRS Community Report)
Community report and the return of UTCloud
(CRS) Community manager Badger: " ...Over the last week they have rallied to the call and took the momentum away from the Allied Forces and started their march to victory. Regaining most of the lost territory and more, Axis Forces have pushed the map back to the line, which this campaign began and are continuing to march westward. They have captured the southern portion of the map, and at the time of this writing are on the verge of capturing Antwerp."

Generalfeldmarschall Julesr, DCoS: " After fighting on our heels for the first two and a half weeks, holding the line for another week, we have turned the entire map around and have now recaptured all the lost towns and have the Allies on the run. There is no quitting as Team Axis moral is very high and every single unit is fighting hard and not giving an inch. We have moved the map with some startling attacks and counter-attacks that must have some Allied Commanders scratching their heads in disbelieve. The names of the hero's during these encounters are in the dozens, as Team Axis' will to fight on is never shattered. At the time of this report going out, we have retaken over 40 towns!

Axis Promotions
